Perry’s Place

He's only gone and built a shed.

Concept, design and construction by Perry.

Before ...

A neglected car port used as a dumping area for assorted accumulated stuff.

And this was after years of unmanaged climbing plant growth had been removed. Good place for a shed, but nothing available in the market that fitted. Time for some creativity.

Bring me paper, pencils and my my compass set, a decent protractor and (most important) a scale ruler.

... During ...

Not only a shed, but a two-room shed emerges (slowly). Materials from all over the place, a decent sliding bevel mitre saw essential.

One room the classic shed for bikes, garden tools and furniture. Second room as Perry's Protectorate, somewhere to drink tea and contemplate the meaning of shoelaces.

Form of construction, materials, design details and finish all one-offs. Obviously inspired by the classic beach hut.

... and After

Note the use of old sash windows to form the doors, enjoy the bespoke back-of-door tool rack.

So when you are sitting comfortably in the garden room, then I'll begin. But don't ask me to build you one, one was enough.

I'm moving in next week after I've added a letterbox and a hammock.
